This is the third time Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Charitable Foundation holds its Local Deputy’s School participated mainly by members of the Young Generation Will Change Ukraine Program Association. The event was co-organized by the Institute for Political Education.
The School encompassed three days – from July 31 to August 2 (altogether 32 class hours) and 27 participants – future deputies and their team members.
The School looked into every vital step of the election campaign, its theoretical and practical aspects: campaign plan elaboration, campaign headquarters and team creation, selection of necessary communication means and campaign instruments, ways of preventing and counteracting election fraud. All these issues were covered by the experts invited.
The following were the speakers:
Olha Haharina, expert in electoral law;
Andrii Sheketa, expert of the Institute for political Education;
Natalka Fedoryshyn, communications expert;
Andrii Hordiienko, analyst and expert of the Society Development Centre;
Maksym Kolesnykov, coordinator of the Network of Free Local Politicians;
Mykola Kovalchuk, spin doctor, expert of the Institute for Political Education;
Petro Okhotin, election campaigns expert, author of the book “How to Win Elections.Step-by-step Guide”;
Liubomyr Hrytsak, expert of the Institute for Political Education, “Local Self-Governance. A Step Towards Being Effective” program director;
Oleksandr Solontai, expert of the Institute for Political Education.
Two participants of the Young Generation Will Change Ukraine Program Association – Andrii Bezpaliuk (Poltava) and Roman Hryhoryshyn (Kyiv) were also among the speakers and shared their own experiences of participating local elections.
The School was traditionally held at the MIM-Kyiv Business School.
